I’ve been playing around with color and experimenting with different mediums. So far I like the results. Although in my latest experiment the colors came out a little dark, I still like how contrasting the yellow highlights are in comparison to how dark the blue is.
There are a lot of paint layers in between the collage and the final product but you can still the papers peeking through.
I dug up a stamp I’ve had since the Ice Age. It’s one of my favorites but since it’s so big it’s more of a focal point then something I’d use as a background texture. I added highlights with Caran d’Ache Neocolor II crayons and a brush.
The quote by Tom Krause seemed fitting since I’ve been exploring different things in my art journal, mail art, and with tags. If you don’t explore new things, how do you ever truly know the extent of your talents?
